I am very pleased to provide this letter of recommendation for Nathaniel McCallum for the position of Property Manager. I have enjoyed the pleasure of having Nathaniel care for my home and property at 2734l N 102nd Street, Scottsdale, Arizona, for the past ten years. During that time, I have trusted him with my home and personal information. His tremendous abilities and reliability never cease to amaze me as he gives personal attention to making sure my interests and that of my guests are always first place. In addition to this, he has performed as a personal concierge for all of our needs when we are in town.
Nathaniel's vast experience spanning over 30 years in the commercial and residential construction trades, as well as construction management, brings a wealth of knowledge to the home management world. He understands how the various systems within a home should be built, and how they should function and be maintained to preserve their value. This includes, but is not limited to, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, security, and home automation systems. He maintains the security system to make sure my home is protected at all times. He has an exceptional ability to find out what is desired by the homeowner, and to resolve issues with building design to make the home more comfortable. Further, he anticipates what the homeowner wants before they make it known, making them feel comfortable with him. His flexibility and patience allow him to quickly switch tactics if the homeowner changes their mind about something at the last minute.
During his time at 2734l N 102nd Street, Nathaniel also manages the day to day care of the home, vehicles, and grounds, and the personnel needed to care for the work. Also, he manages maintenance and remodel projects, while ensuring that costs are reasonable and within budget. For example, at one time we had an unresolved issue with unpleasant odors in one of the guest accommodations, and after spending much time and money hiring professionals to resolve it, to no avail, Nathaniel finally cleared up the problem through his ingenious research and problem solving abilities.
He regularly reviews and improves cost and performance values for regular monthly expenses for the property and often negotiates improved service going forward. He never fails to come up with a solution to any challenge I encounter and this has pleased me very much. I put a great deal of trust in him and he always comes through for me. The most recent project he oversaw was the upgrading of the home automation system. Nathaniel's great connection with my family and guests and relentless perseverance to always make each one feel happy, comfortable, secure, and at home when in town, has allowed him to be viewed as a trusted member of our family.
Nathaniel is also able to work effectively with others and communicates well both verbally and in writing. He takes the initiative to share how things can be improved or where costs can be reduced with the care of the home and/or property. Having these skills provides a definite asset for your home management needs.

Over the past few years, Nate McCallum has provided top quality services for my property. These services have included the following:
- Shower tile grout repair and removal
- New shower tile installed and caulked
- Shower grab bar installed
- Power washing and painting of front sidewalk and driveway
- Side gate posts replaced and reinforced
- Back outside light replaced with new and improved model
- Back stucco replaced and painted
- Entire patio structure removed and hauled away
- Back security door repaired

Nate diagnosed both issues, which were quite extensive immediately, provided a document outlining the scope of work and shared an estimate. After we agreed upon the job, he completed the work meticulously and honored his commitment. Since that time, Nate helps me with almost everything around my home! I have entrusted him to look after the house as I travel with my job and cannot always be there to greet various workers. Nate has not only provided house watch services for us at our home but he also has taken care of any issues that have arisen. With Nate’s background as a general contractor and his many contacts with qualified trades, he can handle just about any issue that comes up. When Nate does his routine inspections of the home, he takes the time to look at all aspects of the mechanical systems in addition to the normal visual checks of the basics. He has uncovered pool equipment issues, battery tender problems and various other items that would have never been uncovered without his experienced eye. And as noted above, he takes charge of fixing the problem straight away.
Nate has had responsibility for some estate properties with very complex mechanical, electrical and security systems. He rates A++ in our opinion and we would strongly endorse him to handle your property needs.

I hired Nate, the Owner of McCallum Services, to design and build a two room addition to my home. What outstanding customer satisfaction McCallum Services provides! I have used Nate and Laura for years. They monitor my vacation home when I am away. Nate has done major and minor repairs to our home including replacing a water meter and installing a hose bibb, roof repair and property management. I have received bids from McCallum Services for repairs and remodeling that are very reasonable for the amount of work to be done. I have no worries about my property when I am away. At one time I had a water leak while I was 1100 miles away. Nate found the leak during a routine inspection. He informed me of the problem, repaired and made improvements to the design, all within a day!
